The Fourth Book By Newspaper Veteran Edward Flattau Exposes the Immoral Underbelly of Current Environmental Practices

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (Jan. 7, 2009) – The Way Things Are Publications, an independent press that focuses on raising awareness on social issues, announced today that Washington D.C. columnist Edward Flattau will publish his fourth book, a work that dissects environmentalism from the perspective of a moral imperative. The book, currently untitled, is a candid analysis of the current environmental crisis and how it has been perpetuated by immoral conduct.

Flattau, the nation’s longest running syndicated environmental newspaper columnist, explores largely unknown or under-discussed topics on moral hypocrisy, failed environmental movements and policies, globally disastrous scenarios, and reckless endangerment of the world’s species. The book advocates a re-alignment of modern society’s value system and economic infrastructure in order to avert environmental destruction and create an environmentally and economically sustainable society.

“Mr. Flattau’s distinguished 40-year career has chronicled the highs and lows of the environmental movement,” said Jennifer Havenner, Director of Publishing for The Way Things Are Publications. “It is a privilege to publish this timely book that calls upon each and every one of us to face up to the environmental crises for no other reasons than it is the right thing to do—and we’ll pay dearly if we don’t. The atrocities brought to light in Flattau’s discourse are punctuated by a fearless analysis of mankind’s moral duty to stop the reckless endangerment of our environment. It is an importantly eminent message that I believe the world needs to hear.”

The book will be available in illustrated hardcover in the fall of 2010 at all major bookstores and online.
